One training kit has been obtained through a grant to provide training to students, school staff, First Responders and the general public. First Responders with some training will be intial instructors but if you have medical training and are willing to become a Stop-the-Bleed instructor, please contact us and we will let you know how to become certified to teach. It is a very simple process if you have at least a basic level of medical training. Click on the insttructor tab above to lean more.
Those taking a class will be able to use supplies just like those they would have at their disposal with the kits we have in Henry County. They would also learn how to use common items that they may have on their person or around them in the event that they are somewhere that Stop-the-Bleed kits are not available. You will likely see Stop-the-Bleed kits or Bleeding Control Stations placed in public places where large crowds gather much like Automated External Defibrilatore (AEDs) are now.
